Biasanya kita hanya kenal jambu batu biasa sahaja yang diorang buat buah jambu potong. Kalau kat KL ni memang popular dengan buah jambu batu Muar. Kalau buah jambu batu Bidor memang kurang popular area KL sebab dia keras sikit dan kurang ranggup. Biasa jambu batu Bidor ni diorang buat buah potong kalau terdesak je bila terputus bekalan. Lagi pun jambu batu Bidor ni ia murah sikit. Kalau masa saya buat buah potong dulu saya memang tak guna buah jambu batu Bidor ni. Sebab saya dah biasa pakai jambu batu Muar, lagi pun pelangan saya dah terbiasa dengan jambu batu Muar. Takut pelangan lari. Saya sanggup beli dekat NSK Selayang walaupun harganya mencecah RM3.50 - RM4.00. Kekadang beli jugak dekat Pasar Borong.
Cerita pasal jambu Muar ni sebenarnya namanya bukan jambu Muar. Cuma jambu batu ni, ladang ia kebanyakkan berada di daerah Muar daripada Bukit Gambir sampai ke Labis. Itu aje. Kalau kita lalu dekat tepi jalan memang tak nampak, pasal ladang ia terletak di bahagian dalam di tepi-tepi Sungai Muar. Sebenar semua daerah di Johor ada ladang jambu seperti Kluang, Mersing, Segamat dan Batu Pahat, cuma tak banyak. Bila orang tanya Jambu Muar ni, jambu batu ni mesti ranggup. Kebanyakan Jambu batu Muar ni jenis Kampuchea yang kulit ia licin dan cantik yang biasa digunakan oleh peniaga-peniaga buah jambu potong. Biasanya jambu kamphucea ni salut dengan plastik biru.
Selain Jambu batu Kamphucea ada satu lagi jambu batu boleh dibuat buah jambu potong iaitu buah jambu Lohan atau Jambu King. Saiz buah jambu Lohan ni biasanya daripada 8oo gram hingga 1 kilo setengah untuk sebiji. rasanya memang manis macam buah jambu yang tak de biji yang biasa jual dekat pasar malam. Jambu Lohan jarang digunakan buat buah potong kerana harganya yang mahal.
